Excursions | From Athinios Port: Volcano - Hot Springs
- Explore the Volcano and see the inactive craters as well as the active crater at the top, with a stunning view to Santorini's Caldera.
- Enjoy a unique relaxing swim in the naturally heated waters enriched with volcanic minerals and clay.
After our departure from the port, our first stop is at the active Volcano of Nea Kameni. Our stay there is for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. There, you can hike and see the inactive craters and the active one at the top with a stunning view to Santorini's Caldera.
Next, the boat continues to the island of Palaia Kameni where the Hot Springs are located. The boat anchors a few meters outside the small bay of Agios Nikolaos, and from there you can swim a distance of about 30 meters to get to the famous mud baths of Palaia Kameni where the water temperature is 20-25°C. After dedicating about 30 minutes for this volcanic swim, the excursion concludes, and we head back to the port.
